EDGE Tutor International is a tutoring outsourcing provider that places certified Filipino online teachers with global education and EdTech companies. Founded in 2022, the firm recruits, vets and manages educators who deliver English and Math tutoring under partner brands, for learners ranging from K-12 pupils to adult professionals. Its workforce exceeds 1,000 certified tutors, serving students in more than 30 countries, and the company has set a target of 3,000 teachers by 2026.
For teachers, the arrangement is one of managed employment: tutors are rigorously vetted, then deployed as part of a client's own teaching operation rather than under the EDGE Tutor name. Operations run round the clock across time zones. The company serves education and EdTech firms through two commercial models, pay-per-class and pay-per-teacher, and describes its remit as covering online tutoring platforms, digital learning and education outsourcing operations.
EDGE Tutor International was founded by Harvard alumnus Henry Motte de la Motte and education operations leader Cecilia Calvo-Lewis. It maintains five global headquarters, in New York, London, Colombo, Singapore and Manila, and is targeting expansion into the Americas and EMEA alongside growth in its teaching workforce. The company is at pre-A stage, having raised $1m.
