Smithers Community Services Association (SCSA) is a non-profit organization serving the Bulkley Valley and surrounding communities in British Columbia, Canada. Of particular relevance to language and education professionals are its English Language and Multicultural Services, which provide settlement and language services for newcomers and multicultural community members, and its Community Learning Initiatives, which deliver community learning and literacy programming. The organisation's work is guided by values of equity, diversity and inclusion, and it collaborates with First Nations and Indigenous partners as rights holders in decision-making processes.

Beyond language and learning services, SCSA operates more than 20 programmes across community social services. These include Goodacre Place Supportive Housing, offering 22 long-term supportive housing units alongside a 12-bed emergency shelter; homelessness prevention; youth and family services; the Better at Home senior support programme; free tax clinics; seasonal Christmas Hampers; and public transit services for the community.

The association has operated for over 50 years, employs more than 60 staff members and runs on an annual operating budget of approximately $5 million. Its stated mission is the creation of a diverse and inclusive community in which every individual is embraced and empowered, and it describes continuous learning, collaboration, integrity, and honesty and transparency in conduct as organisational commitments.
