Colorado Community College System

The Colorado Community College System runs 13 colleges and over 35 locations across Colorado, providing degrees, certificates and workforce training to more than 130,000 students a year.

The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is the largest provider of higher education and workforce training in the state of Colorado, serving more than 130,000 students a year. Its teaching and training work is delivered through 13 colleges operating across more than 35 locations, spanning career and technical education, concurrent enrollment, transfer pathway programmes and customized employer training.

The system offers more than 1,500 degree and certificate programmes, including associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, one master's programme and transfer pathways. A substantial share of its activity involves younger learners: concurrent enrolment allows K-12 students to earn college credit, and the system coordinates career and technical education for more than 165,000 K-12 learners.

Alongside credit-bearing study, CCCS runs training on behalf of employers and the state. More than 4,000 Coloradans have been trained through customized employer programmes, and the system has received more than $65m in state partnership funding for free workforce training aimed at preparing more than 20,000 people for high-skill careers.

The system's stated priorities include affordable, accessible and equitable, learner-centered education, an emphasis on economic mobility, and stronger partnerships across all 13 colleges. These commitments are set out in a 2025-2030 strategic plan that guides its work in Colorado.
